      Hi!

No. I enjoy science because I’m interested in understanding how things work and in using my knowledge to improve things and possibly create new ones.
The only thing that changes is that the more you advance in your studies/career the more your knowledge focuses on only one or very few topics where you become an expert. It’s up to you to keep on appreciating all kinds of science as a hobby.

      Jess.

      Hi amelia

      Thanks for the question!

Well, I think I still love investigating and finding things out but yes, I suppose it might have changed as I have found out more in depth about bacteria and viruses. I wasn’t taught everything at Uni or school, so have found out more exciting things in my career and that keeps me interested!

I think it has a bit yes because now I plan and do all the experiments. I do stuff almost everyday that nobody (as far as a know) has ever done before. At school it was much more an interest in finding out about al the great things science has to offer, now I suppose I am also excited by doing the finding out bit.

      Hi Amelia

The reason I love science hasn’t changed, but how I enjoy science has. When you’ve worked in a lab for a while, you start to see how much effort, planning and good luck you need to get to any discovery.

You also see how much a person’s personality gets into science. We’re all supposed to be unemotional, open minded and let evidence do its job, but science is still done by real people and real people are fun and strange. A lot of time, I really enjoy the people watching part of science, and learning the stories about scientists and their discoveries.

      Hi
Not really, I enjoy science because of the problem solving, and experiments. What I spend my time doing has changed a lot be not the reasons why i find science interesting. For me science has just go more interesting the more i do it and learn about it.
