        Hi potato, I’m sorry if you’re having problems…. As Harriet said, there can be many causes but I have found it’s got easier as I’ve got older. I know it’s the last thing you feel like doing at the time but sometimes gentle exercise really can help. If not, I find a bath and chocolate really helps me….

        Hi!

        In the couple of weeks preceding the period, the uterus creates an internal lining in order to protect egg cells and create a friendly environment for a the development of a possible baby.

        During the period the lining gets shredded and expelled, in order to build a new one the following month, this process causes the uterus to spasm and contract causing most of the awful cramps that a lot of women feel.
