Yeah, I think there is. I also think there is complex life elsewhere in the universe (not just bacteria in some rocks). What I wonder is whether they’ll be humanoid or not. I expect that life is going to be so different that what we expect that we might not be recognising it now. We’re assuming they need liquid water and they work with carbon, and need a solid or liquid surface to live on. But why not some creature living in the gas of Jupiter or Venus? Just a thought.
