        The egg! Laid but some chicken like bird….

        I think the chicken. Because a protein found in chicken eggs can only be produced by a chicken. So, without a chicken, there couldn’t have been an egg!!

        Definitely egg. Many creatures (like the reptiles that Harriet’s referring to) lay eggs, but not every egg produces a chicken.

        Hi!

        according to evolution there was a bird which was almost a chicken, who laid an egg and, because something changed in it’s DNA, what came out of the egg was a chicken!

        So it depends: would you consider the bird who was almost a chicken, a chicken? If yes, then the chicken came first. If no, then the egg came first.
